Dr. Michael

Dr. Michael is a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and the leader of a team of technical editors at his corporation. Having published numerous articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals, Dr. Mike has worked with many students to ensure they are able to clearly present scientific information in written and oral formats. When performing his scientific editing duties, he works to convey all ideas in the simplest of terms to ensure that interested readers can understand the material.

Dr. Robert

After graduating with honors from the University of Michigan, Dr. Robert received his M.A. and Ph.D. in English from Northwestern University where he specialized in nineteenth- and twentieth-century British literature. During 35 years of full-time teaching, Dr. Robert served as the chair of two departments and as the editor of an award-winning academic journal from 1989 to 2004. In addition to a book on Thomas De Quincey, he has published numerous refereed articles and is currently writing a monograph on espionage fiction. His other pursuits include fishing, kayaking, and managing a 50-acre farm.

Dr. Roger

Dr. Roger is a PhD in management, so he has extensive experience working with other business editors. In his first career, he was an experimental test pilot. Then, he spent ten years teaching and doing research at a Hong Kong university, where his most appreciated contribution was the countless hours he spent with graduate students and colleagues, translating their papers and articles into standard English. Dr. Roger’s favorite things are good books, good food, and starry nights. His least favorite things are verbosity, redundancy, and adverbs. Favorite quotations:  "Easy writing's vile hard reading" (attributed to Samuel Johnson).  "Eliminate unnecessary words!" (Wm. Strunk)

Dr. Rudy

Dr. Rudy received his Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and has nearly 30 years experience as a faculty member in four different clinical psychology doctoral programs that are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).  That experience has included all sorts of writing and editing, including books (authored and edited), book chapters, journal editing, and grant writing. Recently he was president of Division 50 (Addiction) of the APA.

Dr. Sandy

Dr. Sandy loves editing almost as much as she does singing.  As a former English teacher, adjunct instructor at three Midwest-area colleges and universities, and former high school principal in a suburban area, she has written and edited countless papers, theses, dissertations, proposals, short stories, poems, letters, manuals, guides, books, website text, ad copy, resumes, cover letters, and just about anything else that is done in written form.  A perfectionist at heart, Dr. Sandy tries to take her time to ensure the client's needs are met and the finished product is exactly what is needed.

Dr. Sarah

Dr. Sarah spent 11+ years teaching college composition, technical writing, and ESL editing.  She has written or edited brochures, websites, posters, dissertations, and even a reference book on a major American humorist. She helped garner more than $100 million in support, helping to write all kinds of grants: center grants, equipment grants, training grants, and more. A member of American Medical Writers Association, she has edited peer-reviewed articles published in JAMA, JNCI, the Oncologist, and other top-rated journals. She specializes in editing journal articles and dissertations in the life sciences for writers for whom English is not their first language (especially Spanish and Chinese speakers).  Her guiding principle is that of Albert Einstein: Make it as simple as possible, but no simpler.

Dr. Scott
	Dr. Scott, a PhD in plant pathology, is the Senior Editor for a major scientific journal. Widely published and internationally recognized, Dr. Scott travels the world as a lecturer and research associate in biology and microbiology. Dr. Stephane
	Dr. Stephane is a writer, playwright, and film journalist living in Atlanta, GA. She has published several articles on film, literature, and popular culture and is the author of a  forthcoming study on race, gender, and sexuality in Black power action fantasies. She received her PhD in English, MFA in creative writing, and MA from the University of Notre Dame.

Dr. Steve
	Dr. Steve is a Ph.D. in English Studies with a concentration in cognitive linguistics. He has published three novels, a textbook, and numerous nonfiction pieces, many of which are scattered across the Internet. In addition to literary prose, he has a special interest in business and technical writing.

Dr. Susan
	Dr. Susan was the kind of kid who thought diagramming sentences in English class was fun. She has taught undergraduate French, community college English composition, and adult education, as well as working for years proofreading for a major journal.

Dr. Tim

Dr. Tim holds a Ph.D. in neurobiology from Duke University and has published multiple articles in leading peer-reviewed scientific journals. For the past seven years, he has been a senior manuscript editor for a Boston-based publisher, focusing on enterprise information technology. He specializes in editing medical, scientific and technical manuscripts and is a highly experienced ESL editor, helping non-native writers express their thoughts clearly. In former lives, he was an IT manager at a pharmaceutical startup, a freelance Web designer and a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa.

Dr. Warren

Dr. Warren has taught general and specific writing courses—composition, technical writing, professional communication, and grammar—for over 40 years. In addition to his own published articles in the areas of professional writing, film, and natural history, he has practiced content editing and business editing for various industries for over 30 of those years. In addition to rapid and thorough--though not always gentle--editing, Dr. Warren is available for fancy dinners at the drop of a hat.

Dr. Wayne

Dr. Wayne holds B. A. and M. A. degrees in English from the University of Texas at Austin and a Ph. D. in English from the University of Delaware. He has taught composition, literature, and linguistics for nearly thirty years and has published three books and dozens of professional articles in addition to newspaper columns. He has edited in-house university publications and has served as an editor for a professional journal. He is widely consulted by the news media for information about new words and the history of the English language.

Dr. Winston

Dr. Winston earned his PhD in Agricultural Economics at Penn State. Now retired, he has worked in international organizations on public sector policy, centered on writing papers for decision making. His experience includes being a university thesis advisor, dissertation editor and examiner. As an avid reader, he recognizes the necessity for authors to clearly and concisely convey their thoughts to readers through good writing.

Dr. Zach
	Dr. Zach is a widely published academic author and an Assistant Professor in the Humanities at a large state university in the West. Dr. Zach is especially skilled at clarifying tangled prose, and turning unwieldy sentences and paragraphs into concise, meaning-filled writing.
